Places in Oregon you must see to believe

pin it for later!

Oregon has always been the number one state I’ve wanted to visit and I finally got the chance to this year, and boy what an unappreciated treasure state. People always want to visit Hawaii or Florida as their dream vacation, but I think Oregon is definitely the heart of this country. Here are some places you must visit that will help me prove my point.

Multnomah Falls

I think this waterfall is probably the main sightseeing place when exploring Oregon, and I can see why. This is one of the most beautiful waterfalls I have ever seen! Do note that if you are headed to this waterfall that you go really early in the morning or later in the day. My husband and I went in the middle of the day and it was jam packed with tourists, so it was really hard to enjoy the scenery with all the commotion and pretty difficult to get a good picture in. A moment I wish I knew how to work Photoshop to edit everyone out…

Toketee Falls

Pictures do not do this place justice! A short hike will bring you to this overlook of the falls. Sadly we were short on time and weren’t able to hike down to the bottom of the falls, but I hear its even more breathtaking!

Umpqua Hot Springs

I think this happened to be my favorite place we stopped at while in Oregon. We got their at 7am and there was only one other couple there. Beware, this is a clothing optional hot spring! My husband and I got a little show from the other couple that was there haha. There are a ton of pools that you can choose from, so everyone can have their privacy. We took this picture on our iPhone but I suggest taking a DSLR camera for this place because I wasn’t able to capture the smokiness of the hot spring as I would have liked. I’m telling you, this place you have to see to believe!!!

Samuel H Boardman Park

Ok, so my husband and I went crazy trying to find this exact spot and we did (3 hours later) but we were so short on time that we weren’t able to hike down and get the shot we wanted. So instead we took this picture from above, not the best, but at least we still have the memory of this place.

“sometimes its not about the picture, but about the experience”-says someone who took a crappy picture

My husband and I will go back and take our time to enjoy this masterpiece of a park, it’s huge so we will need a full day to enjoy! Gold Beach near Samuel H. Boardman is also a must see!
